Packets loss in local network

Wed Mar 01, 2017 5:54 pm

Hi guys.

I have strange problem with my mikrotik OS 6.22 which appeared several days ago.

I have office local network without domain where all servers, user laptops and mikrotik are.
Among all devices there are several which loss packets when pinging mikrotik.

Lets name servers server1, server2 and server3. All of this servers are connected to the same switch as mikrotik BUT when i ping mikrotik from server1 and server2 i see packets loss and time between 1 to 25 ms, when i ping mikrotik from server3 there is no packets loss and time is less then 1 ms (which is normal for local network). The same situation when i ping all this servers from mikrotik. But when i ping any server from any server there is no packet loss and time is <1ms.

Any ideas what can be a reason. May be some advices what should be checked.

P.S. I've tried to change wires and switch but it didn't help.

Check CPU usage. Tools > Profile, is it high?

Check interface statistics. Interface > double click on interrface > Traffic. Does it show drops? Look for errors in RX stats and TX Stats. Then go to the status tab. Check the speed and duplex is what you'd expect it to be, and check the client as well.
