Routing-test 3.0

Mon Nov 06, 2006 1:23 pm

Last week i had real testing mood, so I got an idea to try 3.0beta2 on my production OSPF network (small network 3 areas, 12+ routers).

In the end I was able to find one interesting thing
THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENT ROUTING PACKAGES:

1) routing 2.9 (no comments)

2) routing-test 2.9 = routing 3.0 (<censored>)

3) routing-test 3.0 with completely new OSPF (written from scratch by Mikrotik)  :D

Believe it or not, but it's ALIVE,ALIVE! (mean: working!)

P.S. In 2.9 I had problems with distribution of the multipath routes!

This is good news indeed, can anyone recommend any good OSPF books/ web sites to learn OSPF from. I'm just starting to dip my toe in the water with OSPF and realize I need to know more about it.

Many Thanks
