Unstable PPPoE connections

Sun May 28, 2017 7:00 am

We have been noticing a strange issue in CCR-1036. PPPoE connections are getting dropped frequently and reconnect in the time span of 1-2 minutes. In same Mikrotik there are other PPPoE connections on same interface with uptime more than 20 hrs without any issue. We have checked L2 connectivity thoroughly and could not find any issue. After reading other posts, disabled encryption in PPPoE server and disabled MPLS package but still no luck.

RouterOS 6.33.1
Firmware 3.27
Connectivity from user to Mikrotik is stable. 0% packet loss.

Did you check by removing the pppoe and adding it again
Sometimes this issue happens

Yes. That solves problem for sometime. Again issue pops up. Don't understand what triggers this issue.

Have you researched on affected pppoe-client devices differences vs those that are stable?

Maybe the issue is the link on interface can run with just one pppoe
Try to connect the user with different interface and different link and check the results
