ROS anti-spoofing mechanics on routers/switches

Mon Sep 25, 2017 12:54 pm

Hello. Today I blew up lab network by accidentally assigning network address (172.30.130.30/24) to loopback device on one Linux machine. Linux responds to any address inside loopback assigned network so I ended up with machine that performed mass ip-spoofing and hijacked all IPs from entire network, paralyzing it.

Is there any way to prevent such incident of ip spoofing on MikroTik routers (in bridge for example with bridge firewall enabled)? If not then is it possible on MikroTik switches?
