Yes, I have about 6 towers up using a 532 in this type of config. My largest one has 40 clients on it with an Nstreme backhaul and I'm running some p2p queue rules, and CPU hovers around 20pct. So far it works like a champ. Some of my towers have been going nicely for about a year and a half now.

I personally think your going to run into a bottleneck with just 802.11 and the wifi card before you affect the cpu load of the PPPoE subsystem.

I also use RB532 AP as PPPoE server on wireless interfaces, we have had as many as 35 clients on them with zero CPU issues. We do not use nstream on feeds though.

It's fine, as the previous poster said, you will run into issues with load on 802.11 before you run in to them on the RB532.

Just want to share, I've been tested RB153 + R52 for two weeks as a PPPoE server over a VirtualAP and clients get authenticated using freeradius, so far it was working good serving 9 PPPoE clients at the same time and 7 clients using the main AP.
