bonding mac flapping

Thu Dec 21, 2017 1:40 am

I have a simple setup for testing

2 x SFP+ interface on CCR setup as bonding 802.3ad and hash mode layer 2.

Setup lacp on my switch and now my switch is complaining Mac address flapping

Mac Flapping detected, VlandID = 1, Original-Port = 10GE1/0/1 (connected to SFP+1 on CCR), Flapping port 1 = 10GE2/0/1 (connected to SFP+2 on CCR)

Question why would Mikrotik trying to transmit vlan 1?

CCR running routeros-tile-6.39.3.npk

issue resolved.

The problem was i did a backup and restore to another unit.

I was not aware that backup and restore would copied all the previous unit mac address as well.

All is good now :)
