Restoring backup via webbrowser fails

Tue Jan 02, 2018 1:14 pm

Hi...

I have never been able to restore a backup via a webbrowser.
Although it looks like the back is restored, the router just keeps
it's old config.

I am experiencing this wierd thing with a Routerboard 1200 and Routerboard 2011iL-RM.
Restoring via Winbox works fine.

It is not a big issue that it won't work via a webbrowser, I am just wondering if others of
you have this same problem and what exactly goes wrong.

I have a problem restoring a backup in a Web browser also. I've reported it to support yesterday. They've responded that they couldn't replicate the problem and asked for a video. I've sent them one showing the installation for the configuration followed by a reset and then an attempt to restore the backup but failing leaving the device back at defaults.

This is occurring only in v6.41. It happens with RB951ui-2hnd, Groove 52 and Groove 52 ac and hAP lite ac.

I have the problem with a RouterBOARD 1200 and all the firmware version that I have used until now.
Didn't check on my other devices because they do a 24/7 job that can't be interrupted easily.

The restore function has always worked for me on past rOS versions. I've never used an RB1200.
