CRS 317 CPU LOAD

Wed Apr 04, 2018 9:44 pm

Hello,

I've received a brand new CRS317-1G-16S+ and it was very slow. So I decided to upgrade and it bricked.
This problem was solved with netinstall by serial, because it won't respond to reset button.

Now I'm testing with bandwidth and CPU load dont get higher than 50% as shown below:

No other config than IP's.

The test is singel threaded and only uses one core which is 100 % load which is 50 % in total as there are 2 cores.
You should test the throughput of the router/switch from a machine attached to the router/switch.

It's not that fast of a box.

I would guess that it can handle a 100 meg Internet account by the time you add up all the firewall rules , and nat configurations.

I'm not saying it can't do more. I am saying it can handle a 100 meg Internet account well.
