So I am buying a new house and instead of pulling the ethernet wire to the basement or somewhere logical they pulled the wires out the side of the house. Apparently they normally use Cat 5e as phone cable, so I am going to just repurpose it as ethernet. I do however need an enclosure with a ethernet switch in it I can mount on the outside of my house. Thoughts? Recommendations? There isn't power there so I was thinking something like a POE powered CRS in a box. This will need to be able to handle outdoor temperatures in Virginia.
