hap ac lite - ether ports max 100MBs

Sun Apr 22, 2018 8:35 pm

Hi
My hap ac lite routerboard seems to not allow gigabit connections on the ethernet ports.

I have tested the cable, cat6, and it is definitely wired correctly.
Inside winbox, when I try to change the ethernet speed manually, the connection drops over that ether port.

I have the latest winbox, and updated firmware to 6.42.

My main issue is that I cannot get faster than 100mb out of my fiber connection because it seems the routerboard is limiting the ethernet ports to 100MB only.

That's the product specification.
Get another routerboard, if you need more speed than FastEthernet allows for.

I'd recommend the HAP ac.

I know Mikrotik is awesome with a list of features, but how do you expect something that is only 10/100Mbps to work at 1000Mbps?

Thanks to all who responded to my question.

Shame on me for not first reading the specs - I assumed it was gigabit capable because the software gave me the option to select it.
