More Questions:
What is lacking about your current service for WiFi for your clients?
How is your bandwidth managed at the moment? For example are there any limitations on the amount of bandwidth a single user can use?
Is there a certain amount reserved for the hotel itself?
You plan for 150-180 online each day, but roughly how many each minute? You need to manage your over-subscription rate.
For instance:
You could set a queue tree where the total bandwidth is 60Mbps.
Then you set aside 10Mbps for the hotel itself; that leaves 50Mbps for your guests.
At this point you would want to look at how many people are connected at any given moment. Say for instance, during the day, you have on average 50 users connected. At night that would probably be more. You can setup a queue for daytime hours to allocate 5 Mbps with a burst to 10 Mbps per user. Keep in mind not all users at any given moment will use their available bandwidth. Most would be checking email, social media and uploading photos / videos.
If you plan to support streaming features such as YouTube or Netflix you will need enough bandwidth allocated on a per user basis. You would probably want 7-10 Mbps per user to give sufficient support for streaming. You see here that you can quickly run out of bandwidth. This really depends on what your clients are actually using your WiFi for.
What are your clients complaining about in their reviews?
