PPPoE Server Tx/Rx limits not working.

Wed May 30, 2018 6:53 pm

Hi,

I have an Alix board(X86) setup as an Access Point using a PPPoE server( used for bandwidth limitations) also running on the same board. Now I setup a second PPPoE server on the same board, but on an Ethernet interface(also used for bandwidth limitations). A PPPoE client can connect but the Tx/Rx limits do not work on this second PPPoE server. When I look at "Queues", I a simple queue created for the client connected but it has "unlimited" bandwidth. In other words the values I put in the Tx/Rx limits are not used. How do I correct that? Is that a bug? Or am I trying to do something impossible, ie, a second PPPoE server is not supported? Pls advise. ROS 6.43.2

Problem solved. Not sure which one solved it, but I had done two things. First I downgraded the OS version. Next I deleted the PPPoE server, profiles, and secrets config and redid them. Now working.

to which ROS have you downgraded please? Same issue here with 6.40.6.
After upgrade all the upload queues are not shaping the traffic anymore... subscribers can use full line speed!
