cAP lite bricked after unplug during upgrade?

Mon Jun 18, 2018 1:58 pm

I have 3 cAP lite (https://mikrotik.com/product/RBcAPL-2nD-307 ) APs that received an upgrade through the CAPsMAN manager simultaneously. Two were successfully upgraded while one of them were unplugged a few minutes after the upgrade process started and before the SSID's started showing up again on my Mac.

The one that was unplugged didn't come back online after being plugged back in and now I cannot even manage to reset it:

1/ Hold reset-button during boot until lights start flashing and release (total 5 seconds)
-> Result: Cannot find the cap on 192.168.88.1 (yes I've changed my mac's ip-address/subnet to match the reset defaults)
2/ Keep holding for 5 more seconds, LED turns solid, release now to turn on CAPs mode for managing the unit from a CAPsMAN server (total 10 seconds)
-> Result: Does not show up in CAPsMAN manger (running on router).

No, I haven't tried the Netinstall option (hold reset-button for 5 more seconds, 15 total) as I am using a Mac.

Lights on the cap seem to flash as per the documentation when I hold reset-button 5/10 seconds, but I cannot find the device on the network.

In either case I see nothing in the router's log (would have hoped for CAPsMAN or dhcpd entries)

Is my unit a brick?
