CRS328-24P-4S+ RouterOS upgrade

Sat Jul 14, 2018 11:24 pm

I recently got a CRS328-24P-4S+ and am having an issue going from 6-42-5 to 6-42-6. The device came with 6-41 on it and I was able to upgrade it via Winbox to 6-42-5. I went to system-packages and had it download and install. Everything worked fine and I even updated the firmware.

The issue now is that the device only has 16.0 MB of drive space and 12.7 MB is used. When I try to upgrade the device now it tells me that it doesn't have anymore space. When I look at "files" I don't see anything under "flash" so not sure what to do. Could the issue be something to do with the SWOS as I am running the device in RouterOS.

Which file are you uploading specifically? The routeros combined package is only 10Mb and there should be enough space.

Sorry for the delay, have been traveling....

Below is an image of the packages and the files on my device. I have tried to "remove" things such as the "wireless" but it wont let me. What are my options on just running the items needed for the device to act as a switch.

Try manually drag and drop packets to winbox file menu, AFAIK on boards with flash memory upgrade packets for upgrade will be stored in the memory not flash.

just dragging the .npk into the winbox session solved the issue. It downloaded it and didn't impact the amount of space used under file. Rebooted and upgrade was successful.

THanks....
