Hi, I'm not good at English. Sorry.
I am having difficulties with the same problem lately. The solution I found is to fix the speed of the LAN interface to 100M manually, not automatically.
Then the problem does not happen again.
However, this problem is only seen in mikrotik devices.

how is that related to the usb modem mentioned by the starter?

If your LTE modem is connected to your Mikrotik equipment via LAN to LAN, please change the connection port of LTE modem and Mikrotik manually to 100M.

I am not sure yet, but I have noticed that it is a frequent symptom of exchanging traffic with ports of higher mikrotik devices at full speed among devices of 100m interface in sub devices or switches connected to lan port of mikrotik giga interface.
The only solution at this time is to manually adjust the interface speed of both devices to 100m if you can not replace the subdevices.
Manually adjust the interface speed of the modem and mikrotik.
I am Korean and I am weak in English and have translated it into Google Translator.
