RB2011 boot loop after reboot

Wed Sep 19, 2018 2:09 am

Hello people,

I currently have 5 stores with L2TP VPN connection configured in each of my Mikrotiks, in about 3 days 2 of my equipment got into boot loop after a normal reboot. I tried to reset but it still does not work.

Can anyone help?

Yes, same thing happened to me with an RB2011.
I tried to upgrade to the latest ROS and when it rebooted it would just beep and reboot nonstop. Something about ether boot on the led screen.. Anyway, I had to use Netinstall to bring it back to life, and it took many attempts to get netinstall working. I did get it working eventually with a clean Install of Win XP and the firewall disabled.

You need to use Netinstall 6.43.2 to flash new routerOS.
It's a big problem with RB2011 and routerOS 6.34

in 6.43.2 they fix that but you have more then 10% chane to enter in boot loop when you try to upgrade 6.34 on new version
*) routerboot - fixed RouterOS booting on devices with particular NAND memory (introduced in v6.43)
