Hi,
I'd like to move my datacenter VMWare cluster to 10 GBe. Switches will be used for VM traffic (NO iSCSI) with just VLAN switching, trunking and LACP (no routing at all).
Of course, i need two devices for redundancy.
I was looking at CRS317-1G-16S+RM which seems a pretty nice device.
I'm wondering if Mikrotik switches could handle this task in term of bandwith and , more important, in term of reliability.
I currently using Cisco HW and never had a fault nor a downtime nor a reboot in 5 years.
If I would switch to Mikrotik, I thing I have to plan at least two software upgrade per year.
Is anyone out there using Mikrotik as switching platform in a mid-sized Datacenter?
Thanks in advance
