Mikrotik SNMP Wireless Values different

Thu Nov 29, 2018 5:03 pm

Hi.

I'm pretty new to monitoring straight SNMP OID's however I am having a hard time plotting Mikrotik WIFI devices. The reason for this is the OID changes.

For example

RB SXT 5nD r2
[admin@Mikrotik] > interface wireless print oid
 0 tx-rate=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.3.1.2.2 rx-rate=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.3.1.3.2 ssid=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.3.1.4.2 bssid=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.3.1.5.2
   client-count=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.3.1.6.2 frequency=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.3.1.7.2 band=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.3.1.8.2 noise-floor=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.3.1.9.2
   overall-ccq=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.3.1.10.2
[admin@Mikrotik] > /sys router print
       routerboard: yes
             model: SXT 5nD r2
     serial-number: 522301036354
  current-firmware: 3.22
  upgrade-firmware: 3.24

Then on on another device (same model)
[admin@cs-11onBuiten] > int wire print oid
 0 tx-rate=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.1.1.2.2 rx-rate=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.1.1.3.2 strength=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.1.1.4.2 ssid=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.1.1.5.2
   bssid=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.1.1.6.2 frequency=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.1.1.7.2 band=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.1.1.8.2
[admin@cs-11onBuiten] > sys router pr
       routerboard: yes
             model: SXT 5nD r2
     serial-number: 5E9A05A2DF13
  current-firmware: 3.24
  upgrade-firmware: 3.24
[admin@cs-11onBuiten] >

Does Mikrotik change OID's per RouterOS Version? Is there no sane way to monitor things?

Always happens when you post something and you figure it out.

It changes based on wireless mode. station, station-bridge.

You should upgrade.

Hi, I'm new to Mikrotik so please bear with me

I've got a wireless-wire pair of 60GHz APs, and am trying to record the signal strengths over time using Zabbix. I've got lots of other metrics being graphed but I don't know the OIDs for wifi signal strength. the command suggested above didn't work:

[admin@rbwapg-master] > interface wireless print oid

[admin@rbwapg-master] >

thanks for any ideas.

these are the interfaces:
[admin@rbwapg-master] > interface print
