server rsyslogic (mysql) + loganalyzer

Sun Dec 09, 2018 8:46 am

Hi again, I recently installed a rsyslog server with loganalycer.
I have configured several Mikrotik, and I would like it when saving the hostname in the BD (MYSQL) as it appears in the identity of mikrotik.

Currently when mikrotik sends the logs to the rsyslog, I split the identity name in two, a part puts me part of the identity in the host column and what is missing inserts in syslogtag.

Can someone help me to change the name that sends mikrotik to the rsyslog?

thank you very much as always

How do you get the identity name in the logs? How does your logging config looks like?

Have you looked at my log project using Syslog?
See link in my signature.

Hostname is not sendt out to syslog, but with a script, it should be possible to get. I will have a look at it.

Edit
Updated my script to get the identity so output is like this:
10.10.10.77	A12-941-2nD	661607XXXXXEA	RouterBOARD 941-2nD	6.43.7 (stable)
A12-941-2nD is the identity of this router
