As mentioned, this post belongs in the Ubuntu forums.

However, if you are a newbie and setting up wine isnt for you (can be a chore) I can recommend a product called Crossover by Codeweavers.

(this is not a sales plug, I am an ubuntu user and found that this helped me to use mikrotik on ubuntu).....

Thanks, and standing by for the FLAMES.....

You should download winbox from your own router - just enter it's IP into the browser.

tHERE IS NO NEED FOR THAT

winbox works, perfectly on linux, if you don't know how to use wine on linux, then use windows

yes
:twisted:

linbox = linux box = winbox +wine

default config of wine works like a charm even better than in its natural inhabitance :twisted: :twisted:

if it does not then
$ cd ~
$ rm -rf .wine

hello there,
i have similar problem like that
wine works fine with every win program. just if i start winbox or dude application starts and several seconds after freezes and forces to quit.
i am not sure that this is an ubuntu problem. or wine problem. we threated previously that problem into the forum, but nobody help.
regards,
C. G.

Probably ubuntu , they seem far more interested in making it shiny instead of making it work.
