Suggestions for allowing only one pppoe connection over a layer2

Mon Jan 21, 2019 12:20 pm

Hi all

Any suggestions how to allow only a single pppoe connection over a layer2 bridge (in this case VPLS) to a customer site.

No control --------------- [Our CPE with VPLS to central location] ------------- [Our concentrator with PPOE Server]
Customer side router - [CPE: Our router ether - bridge - VPLS interface ] - [Concentrator: VPLS interface - bridge - PPPoE server]

Kind Regards

The first thing in my mind would be bridge filters in your CPE.
You ideally whitelist the MAC address of your customer's router for pppoe discovery and session and drop all other pppoe traffic.
This might get tedious but could be worth a try...
