MikroTik ROS SATA AHCI support

Sun Feb 03, 2019 1:36 pm

MikroTik team - please make ROS working at new motherboards with SATA AHCI. New motherboards have ONLY AHCI mode with SATA. So - please make ROS working at it. Thank You.

While your plea is a legitimate one, I highly doubt they'll do anything about it ... x86 (and x64) is being replaced by CHR ... I guess that reason is (at least partly) that they don't have to care about plethora of different hardware users might want to use to run ROS on ...

I hope They will do. It's unreasonable to use CHR at many situations. We have had ROS at x86 a long, long time... So I hope to have it at new serwer... MikroTik team - please!

Options you have today are:
* use Mikrotik dedicated hardware
* or CHR, with for example ESXi hypervisor, which is free, and with wider support for hardware
