CCR 1009 8G 1S 1S+ constantly loses static IP

I can't figure this out. Sometimes it's an hour, sometimes, 8, but at some point The thing just loses it's external IP info and drops off the grid. I look in the quick settings and the IP is 0.0.0.0. I enter the static IP and it's back on again. Runs fine for a while then just drops. connect manually via MAC address and there it is again....0.0.0.0 . I've upgraded the firmware in both the packages area and the routerboad area. Both running 6.44.1. I've gone to the "reset configuration" and started from scratch with a very basic build and it still does it. Is the thing just fried?
