Static on LTE HiLink

Mon Apr 01, 2019 10:40 am

Good day.
There is a closed network provided by the provider, which includes wired connections and sim cards. Everywhere statics.
Previously, 951 microtic + whistle huawei E352 + sim card was used to organize a communication channel with equipment where there is no possibility to "stretch a wire". The whistle in the microtic was defined as a ppp-out interface and worked successfully. In this way, "pings went" from the equipment to the provider and back, which is important.
After switching to the huawei E3372 modems on HiLink, I ran into the problem that pings only go from the equipment to the provider, but not back. In this case, it is not possible to control the equipment.
There is no Internet in this network, but all addresses see each other.
Create allow rules so that everything goes up.
What do you need to do?
thank

HiLink on the E3372 is actually making the modem run as a router with NAT. You can either try to make forwarding rules on the E3372 (usually you must connect to it with web browser to do this) or you can try to disable HiLink and have the E3372 act as only modem. I believe it's easiest in your case to just create a rule in the E3372 to allow ICMP if everything else works as it should.

Personally, I think the E3372 with HiLink is good for personal use (directly connected to a PC/Mac) but not when using it with a router.

I solved the problem.
It was necessary to turn on the DMZ and turn off the firewall. You did not have such settings.
I had to reflash the whistle and his web muzzle.

Maybe someone will be useful.
There was firmware E3372h-153 22.317.01.00.778
First you need an intermediate firmware 21.180.01.00.00_M_01.10
Then the final 22.323.01.00.143_M_AT_05.10
Version of the new muzzle WEBUI_17.100.13.01.03_HILINK_Mod1.10
