I am trying to find out if there is a tool or command that would allow a mikrotik to see the MAC address of a modem that it is using as its WAN connection.
Here is a printout of its ARP table showing the LAN facing MAC address of the modem.
# ADDRESS MAC-ADDRESS INTERFACE
0 DC 188.8.131.52 00:17:10:87:0E:E4 ether1-WAN
1 DC 192.168.88.254 D4:6A:91:07:78:FC ether2-wattBox
2 DC 192.168.87.253 C8:1F:66:AA:19:FF ether3-master-wired
3 DC 10.10.10.254 B4:79:C8:06:71:E0 ether5-trunk-AP
4 DC 10.2.129.254 74:C2:46:89:45:6D vlan229
5 DC 192.168.87.254 58:55:CA:37:8A:7B ether3-master-wired
The ether1-WAN interface contains the connection where I was wondering if I could find the proper WAN-facing MAC address of the modem. In this example I already know the WAN-facing MAC address, 50:95:51:E4:EC:82, but I would like to find out how to get this sort of information via the MikroTik; if at all possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
