Just bought one of thes and have it runing four 8 month from to day 19-05-07 on of the eth port on switch 2 fail to start ( eth7 ) it dose light the led on reboo then it turn off in log its says no link have made factory reset and backup and only one comp in the switch and noting.
i suspect that the port is broke but have no ide how to test it
if i go to eth interface an press blink noting led is dark
dose some one have eny ides?

If it doesn't come up after factory reset BEFORE you restore the configuration backup and you try that using two different remote devices each with another cable, while each of the two makes some other port of the 3011 come up when connected to it but none makes the ether7 come up, you can be sure ether7 is broken. You can inspect the contacts in the connector using a magnifier glass (smartphones have plenty of applications turning them into magnifier glasses if you don't have a physical one) for damage or oxidation (stain). If you see nothing, it's the electronic and go claiming it with the seller if warranty is still valid.

Have you completely shut down (disconnect power cable) the device at least once?

Yes have done all above an still no life so its probely broke then.
