MIKROTIK with 2 ADSL modem and local network

Sat Apr 07, 2007 1:26 pm

Problem is next. I have 2 ADSL modem with 768/192 speed parameters. Also have local network with 15 computers. I want to give all network computers piece of internet speed. For example: 15 KB for of download speed for each computer. If this work I will be satisfied. Later, requirements will grow up, and want to enlarge download KB speed but for diferent type of using, for example: playing game on internet (World of Warcraft or Medal of Honor) will have speed limit of 20 or 30 KB, but surfing in internet exploler or opera will be limit speed of 5 KB.
First, please explain me first problem and later or after this explanation second problem.

If you want to give equal amount of bandwidth to clients then use pcq. If you are trying to limit bandwidth speed you will need to mangle the traffic then setup a simple queue or queue tree.

Flyermikrotik,

There is a great example of pcq on the wiki @ http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/PCQ_Examples

Just modify the bottom line for your private areas.
