Stopping logging of DHCP debug packets

Tue Apr 10, 2007 4:01 pm

Months ago I enabled DHCP debug packets so I could see a bit more about the DHCP lease activity. Now I can't figure out how to turn it off, so its scrolling my log page a lot and adding extra unwanted into to my remote syslog.

Can anyone point me to the doc section that talks about this. All I keep finding is the section that talks about enabling basic logging and pointing it to a server and whatnot.

Thanks

Ralph

Goto "system / logging" and disable/remove the rule where you added DHCP debug logging ;)

This is version 2.9.30
Either I am totally blind, or its not shown.
The word debug is not associated with any of the loggings that are set up.
This is looking via Winbox and via the command line.

This is what I see:
[admin@Blackjack] system logging> print
Flags: X - disabled, I - invalid
# TOPICS ACTION PREFIX
0 error memory
1 warning memory
2 critical echo
3 memory
4 critical remote
5 error remote
6 warning remote

Could it be #3, the blank one?

Strange. Might be - never saw a logging rule with not topics. I would have suspected that it should log nothing for that rule, but anyway - try disabling it ;)

I deleted that one- we'll see if the madness stops.
Thanks
