Increasing traffic

Sat Aug 10, 2019 12:29 am

Hello Experts,

We have a PPPoE server which has a traffic of 950Mb, its a CCR1036, how can we upgrade the ports? what is advisable for Mikrotik? Bonding or is there anything else to use to combine traffic.

Thank you.

check % usage of most loaded CPU core at peak traffic hour to estimate possible remaining processing power

I don't think OP asked about utilization of CPU etc, but port speeds.

Depending on which CCR you have, you can change PPPoE to the SFP+ port which will give you 10Gb/s capacity, if you have the SFP only model, that will at least give you 1.25Gb/s for now.

Else I think you need to split traffic from different areas into separate VLAN's/interfaces

I ask about cpu utilization because that's how i will suggest preferable method.
