RB 850gx2 : VLANs

Wed Sep 18, 2019 4:37 am

Hi,

In my Mikrotik RB 850gx2, I only have 2 ethernet ports set up : ether1 to the ISP, ether2 to the core unmanaged switch. Currently the setup is wired for desktops, network printers and wireless routers. And I have setup 3 vlans for 3 wifi ssids with their IPs.
LAN : 192.168.0.3/24 (wired connections)
VLAN10 : 10.10.10.0/24 (wireless - laptops)
VLAN20 : 10.10.20.0/24 (wireless - smartphones)
VLAN30 : 10.10.30.0/24 (wireless - tablets & chromecasts)
I have setup also their routing so all of them can access internet.

My problems are :
1. how do I allow machines from VLAN20 or VLAN30 to access printers in LAN?
I have setup a bridge with activated port ether2-LAN and I've setup also IP/FIrewall/NAT to allow each VLAN to each IP of the network printers. Luckily there are only 2. Now the machines connected to any vlan can access the printers (except some macbooks, which I dont know how to solve). are these setups corrects?

2. how do I allow machines from VLAN10 to access the chromecasts in VLAN30? As I have multiple chromecasts, I cant do the same trick as for the network printers. I've tried adding VLAN10-Laptops to the bridge, the chromecasts can be found but no machines can get ip from the dhcp when trying to connect through the wifi.

Many thanks for your support
