Hello all
I just got a new modem-router from my ISP and I cannot enable bridge mode on it in order to have VOIP telephony on it.
I am thus forced to keep a network alive on that device (192.168.1.0/24) and interconnect it to my Mikrotik router (RB951Ui-2HnD).
So far my setup is as such:
ether1 on my mikrotik router as a PPoE (named WAN) and the rest of the interfaces all bridged (LAN_Bridge) with a DHCP server enabled (Network 192.168.100.0/24)
Routing 192.168.100.0/24 on the LAN_Bridge and 0.0.0.0/0 on ether1, Masquerading srcnat with out.interface = WAN.
Now I need to change ether1 to be connected to the modem-router network and instead and route all traffic (other than local to LAN_Bridge) through ether1 interface.
What are the steps I need to take? I am going for the least amount of downtime.
Thank you for your time!
