When will AUX power ports be used on LTAP units?

Fri Jul 03, 2020 10:51 pm

On my LTAP units using the 4 prong power connector has two AUX ports. The user manual paragraph below says they are for future use. Just wondering if anyone knows when they will be able to start being leveraged for stuff inside of RouterOS?? I have some cradlepoints that I want to swap out with LTAPs but I need some way to be able to use ignition sensing wire to start a shutdown timer on the LTAP like you can do with a Cradlepoints.

The automotive connector can be used to power the device from regular 12/24 V ⎓ connections in automobiles and buses. The plug has four pins: bottom left (black) is the ground, bottom right is power in (red). The upper two (AUX) are reserved for future use.

We would like to know this too, Possibly Mikrotik could assign these AUX ports for some form of GPIO, That would be fantastic.
