PPTP + RADIUS: Framed-Route ignored

Fri Jul 06, 2007 12:11 pm

Hi,
I achieved that my MT PPTP server autheticates a PPTP client via RADIUS.

radreply table for the user 22110.

"22110";Framed-Protocol";":=";"PPP"
"22110";"Service-Type";":=";"Framed-User"
"22110";"admin";"Framed-Compression";":=";"Van-Jacobson-TCP-IP"
"22110";"Framed-IP-Address";":=";"10.200.200.2"
"22110";"Framed-IP-Netmask";":=";"255.255.0.0"
"22110";"Tunnel-Type";":=";"13"
"22110";"Tunnel-Medium-Type";":=";"6"
"22110";"Tunnel-Private-Group-Id";":=";"4"
"22110";"Framed-Route";":=";"10.200.0.3 10.200.0.10 1"

PPTP server asigns the IP 10.200.0.10 as Remote Peer address. It works fine.
However, I want to create a new route dinamically:
10.200.0.3 10.200.0.10 1 pptp-out1
but I can not do it because Framed-Route attribute is ignored by the MT. Is it true??
if it is supported, could you give me an example?

Thanks.

The Framed-Route should use the Framed-IP-Address that is assigned to the client as the next hop.

Yes, of course it's supported.

See the RouterOS manual at http://www.mikrotik.com/testdocs/ros/2. ... radius.php

For the correct format of the Framed-Route attribute see http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2865.txt (Chapter 5.22)

I try lot of configurations for this attribute:
"22110";"Framed-Route";":=";"10.200.0.3 10.200.0.10 1"
"22110";"Framed-Route";":=";"10.200.0.3/32 10.200.0.10 1"
"22110";"Framed-Route";":=";"10.200.0.3 /32 10.200.0.10 1"

and it do not work. I followed http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2865.txt . could you verify the syntax of one of this three rules is correct?
Thanks.

Why do you specify 10.200.0.10 as the next hop? You're assigning 10.200.200.2 to the client (with the Framed-IP-Address attribute), so you have to use that client IP address as the next hop if you want to add a route towards that client.

Try this:

"22110";"Framed-Route";":=";"10.200.0.3/32 10.200.200.2 1"
