How to route traffic between two subnets

Fri Mar 05, 2021 4:30 pm

Ok I have used MikroTik in past but it has been several years and I was using it as an internet router to do traffic shaping and firewall. I want to try to use an older router RB3011 to connect two subnets, and I need to be able to allow or deny certain traffic between the two subnets.
Here is the network configuration:

City Network: 192.168.0.0/24
County Network: 192.168.1.0/24

Router Config:
Switch1:
Ether1 (city) Interface IP: 192.168.0.254
Switch2:
Ether6 (county) Interface IP: 192.168.1.254

Currently connected test devices
City PC1: IP address: 192.168.0.100 connected on port1 Ether1 (city)
County PC2: IP address: 192.168.1.100 connected on port1 Ether6 (city)

I need to be able to route traffic destined from the County to the City network and vise versa through this router and block specific traffic to and from the two networks.

Could someone help me with the config? I am sure it will all come back to me as I work through this.
