Failed to prevent communication with cloud2.mikrotik.com

Did you bother to search the forum or the wiki? https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/Cloud
Disable Update Time since it uses, well, the cloud.
Disable Auto Time Zone from the clock menu, since it also uses, well, the cloud.

I thought I read everything I could find including the relevant wiki pages, but I guess I didn't. Sorry! I did turn off the 'update time' but it made no difference and since the public IP address was displayed even with the DDNS service turned off, I didn't look any further, which was a mistake.
Disable Auto Time Zone from the clock menu, since it also uses, well, the cloud.
This fixed it, thanks.
