CRS vs CCR

Sun Apr 11, 2021 5:42 pm

I have a requirement to combine multiple ISP connections and share them over LAN load balanced/fail over.
The connections I intend to combine are 2x1Gbps.
I maybe adding two more connections in the future. So looking to handle 4x1Gbps

I have come across the CRS112-8G-4S-IN, but not sure if it has the horsepower for the job.
Should I stick with the CRS112 or look into the CCR lineup?

CRS is a switch and performs best at switching. If you plan to do any other tasks, I suggest a CCR device.

Hi Normis, the RB4011 wired may also fit the bill or do you think the CCR is required.......

Realistically RB4011 can't handle 4x1Gbps WANs with load sharing and what not (but could handle 2x1Gbps).
