Web proxy cache resources

Tue Aug 14, 2007 12:50 pm

Hi2all,

I have this MT box: CPU Celeron 900MHz, 256 MB RAM, 20 GB HDD, and about 30 active users using the internet.
My question is what are the optimal max-ram-cache-size and max-cache-size values for this kind of configuration?

THX in advance.

55 mb ram ---- base for mikrotik

then 15 mb ram ---- 1 gb hd

20 gb hd ---- 300 mb ram + 55 mb ram (mikrotik) = 355 mb ram

So my max-cache-size value would be lets say 13GB and max-ram-cache-size = 13(GB HDD) x 15(MB RAM) = 195MB ??
Is that the formula?
