Hello everyone,
I'm a dissatisfied Ubiquiti owner looking to jump ship to a more capable company. Right now I have a UDM Pro and I am on the verge of getting gigabit fiber. All ISPs on this infrastructure, apart from Sky, use PPPoE with VLAN tagging. Sales was a bit slow to answer and didn't really clarify so the users in the real world, I'm asking you, which routers would you recommend as a nice replacement that can give me gigabit over PPPoE? My biggest concern is really just this over WAN. From my understand I will lose IPS/IDS support on Mikrotik routers correct?
Speaking of which, Sky is forcing users to IPv6 with MAP-T I read by end of the year, in the event everyone else follows them, or I decide to switch providers, anyone have any inkling what the chances are RouterOS handles this in the near future?
Thanks!
