Damaged wireless@ package: bad image(6)

Tue Sep 07, 2021 11:15 pm

I have a RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT router
After the update download all the packages (All packages MIPSBE 6.48.4 Stable) and start the installation.
After restarting the router, the wireless has disappeared.
But it is present in the list of packages but deactivated and impossible to activate or downgrade.
When the following message is displayed: "Damaged wireless@ package: bad image(6)"

Please help me.

As you can read your screen captures (4) you are out of disk space.

Why do you download all packages? Only add the ones you need and according to you you need wireless.

hAP ac do not have UPS, not GPS, not LCD, not LORA, not LTE, not...
But what does it tell you?
Uninstall all package except system,
reboot,
download https://download.mikrotik.com/routeros/ ... .47.10.npk
put on files, on root forder,
go on system /package and choice downgrade,
confirm and the device reboot,
now you can download this https://download.mikrotik.com/routeros/ ... 6.48.4.npk
put on files, on root forder,
reboot
and now you are correctly installed routeros.

The minimum list of packages. needed for a typical home router, is this:
  • system
  • advanced-tools
  • dhcp
  • security
  • wireless

Depending on requirements, some (or all) of the following might be needed:
  • ppp
If your ISP delivers internet via PPPoE and you need to run client.
  • ipv6
If your ISP supports IPv6. Be sure you reset router do factory default configuration after you install this package so that you get the (very sane) default configuration related to this package
  • ntp
If you want router to provide NTP service to clients. You don't need this package if you only want router to synchronize its internal clock to NTP server

And that's about it. Install other packages only if you know for sure you need their functionality.

After following the steps as defined, ie in Packages list selected all packages except "System" click on "Uninstall" and then restart.
No package has been uninstalled

retry after delete all files contents.
If do not work, you "brick" the device and you must use netinstall
