Using Azure VM (passthrough) to bridge VPN

Tue Sep 21, 2021 10:21 pm

Hello there, for a variety of reason I am trying to get an Azure Ubuntu VM to act as a bridge between two networks via VPN. The two networks can already establish a connection with each other but due to international ISP priorities the direct connection is poor.

Idea is that the Azure VM passes all traffic it receives from Point A to Point B, and from Point B back to Point A. No security as this is all done at both ends by the MikroTik CCRs.

I've already set incoming rule (Any) 500, 1701, and 4500 (UDP) to forward to Point A IP address.

I've seen a few posts on Cloud Hosted Routers but I do not believe this is for me as all I need is a bridge.

Thank you in advance.

Andrew.
