MikroTIK on Raspberry PI 4 B

Mon Sep 27, 2021 11:17 am

Hi,

I would like to ask is it possible to run RouterOS on a Raspberry PI 4?
Is it possible to to run RouterOS on that SBC and how to flash it to SD CARD?
I just need to download the software for ARM64 or ARM and then how to flash it to SD Card.

The Raspberry Pi runs on Broadcom BCM2711 CPU.

Best regards,

The only "generic" hardware platform, supported by RouterOS, is x86 ... either CHR or "bare metal" (the later being quite severely limited by the lack of drivers for modern peripherials).

Box86 or QEMU might allow CHR to be run, but it isn't going to be speedy. The cost of a Pi4 and CHR license is likely to be more than an actual Mikrotik device of similar performance, so other than as an academic exercise there doesn't seem much point.
