There is not any functional difference between disabling a package and uninstalling it correct - except for the space consumed by the files in the flash?

I usually just disable stuff I do not need or want - but I just want to make sure the configs and the running code do not also have unnecessary stuff in there because I did not actually uninstall a package.

Thanks,
Scott

Ok let imagine for 1 moment that RC5 is out and we have working multicast package.

Can someone give me some suggestions or links - how can I, without investing any money, check this feature out.
And I am not talking about some multicast traffic generators - I am talking about real usable stuff

This is something new for me - so I would like to get a real practical task and get it working with RC5 multicast.

Really looking forward to seeing how you guys implement Multicast support. Will it still make RC6?

You can use VLC for Multicast testing/broadcasting.

Tested that yesterday using Multicast and all seems well. Just need the Mikrotik package now ;) Would be really handy to have some form of media proxy builtin to MT so a stream can be multicast across our network then present a standard IP address at our boarder routers to provide uni cast at our gig peering points.

From terminal there are a few options under "/routing pim". Not had a chance to play yet but looks straight forward enough.

Any joy testing the new Multicast package? Just about to do some tests myself but wanted to see how others had done and if there where any problems.
