Dial up interfaces

Wed Dec 05, 2007 5:57 pm

Does mikrotik support any dial-up interfaces either to allow others to dial in or to allow mikrotik to dial out?

it is important with which interfaces?

Mikrotik is not compatible with Cisco Vpdn for dial up through LAC and LNS with l2tp tunneling..

I didnt really need anything fancy, just something to allow users to dial in for a backup dial-up service, and maybe for a tower to dial out to a central server in case a link drops out or something?

Get a livingston/lucent PM2 on ebay or something. They are bulletproof for this application. They can also be used for remote console access (like if you need to access your MT's or other devices serial ports remotely)
