Cache Array Redundancy Protocol (CARP) and proxy load balanc

Tue Dec 11, 2007 10:32 am

Are there any plans to implement CARP or a form of it in upcoming releases of ROS3? Currently I have found the best proxy proxy method (for myself) is using MT as the transparent proxy and then using a Squid Acceleration proxy as the parent. It would be great to be able to use multiple squid proxies in a load balancing config and use CARP on the MT side to monitor proxy availability.

On a side note are there any plans to implement proxy load balancing for the Mikrotik Proxy server?

I second this motion.....

Also it would be great if we had more control over the proxy such you get by using squid directly.
