That still doesn't tell me anything. What are you trying to accomplish with the queues?

I'm not sure about trottolino1970, but I'll use my own question and hopefully it's the same.

I use PPPoE for all my wireless clients for authentication on the network and for rate-limiting. A typical queue would be 512k download/256k upload. Any suggestions for the best type of queue for this application?

The way the queues handle the packets its different, pcq or pfifo, please read the manual it is explained there, and according to that different handling of packets you will choose which kind of queue type to use.

Yeah, I read the manual awhile ago, and it gave a description of each kind, but I don't remember it giving examples of which are better in different situations....
