My be Routing Problem!!!

Sat Apr 26, 2008 4:25 pm

Hi all,
I have an ISP with more then 450 users. They are unlimited users.
I am using a MT for this.
MT-1
public address: 203.x.x.74/24
Local address: 192.168.100.0/24,192.168.110.0/24,192.168.120.0/24 and 192.168.130.0/24
GW=203.x.x.1
Static DNS: 192.168.100.1 for every users.
it working fine.

Now i am going to give Hotspot system to other users on the same network with another router(MT).

so. i setup a hotspot system.
MT-2
Public Address: 203.x.x.75/24
Local address: 172.32.0.0/16
GW=203.x.x.1
Static DNS: 172.32.0.1 for every users.

and works fine with different network.
But when i attached it to my above network(mixing unlimited and hotspot) unlimited MT stops working. Every unlimited users when ping to 192.168.100.1 then they get Reply from hotspot static DNS.
and every unlimited users can't browse they get the MT-2's hotspot page(login prompt). To stop this i set a rule
[admin@MT-2] > ip hotspot ip-binding pr
Flags: X - disabled, P - bypassed, B - blocked
# MAC-ADDRESS ADDRESS TO-ADDRESS SERVER
0 B 192.168.0.0/16

But now geting request time out (MT-1 stops working).

what is the problem? Anyone give me the solution??

Thanks.
Chap.

It happens coz both the LAN Cable will be in single L2 Switch.
I am NOT sure But try to set
/ip hotspot
address-pool=none.

I am NOT taking about User Manager, The Option you can find in /ip hotspot menu.
ana again you can always bind IP address as well as Mac-address with user in User Manager

It Depands on which license level you are using.

Please check

User Manager Active session.
Its my suggestion to use Level6, if you have a huge network and planning for centralised authentication from single usermanager.
