802.3af

Thu May 15, 2008 11:29 pm

Hi guys!

Could you please confirm for me which routerboard models are 100% 802.3af compatible - can be detected and powered by 802.3af switch either in mode A (over data pairs) or mode B (over unused pairs)? After searching through forums I found inconsistent answers :(

So it would seem, that only RB600 supports this? Any plans to fix this? Like maybe on RB433 or something less powerful?
http://www.murata-ps.com/data/power/ncl/kii_nmpd01.pdf - maybe someone knows of something like this, that's easily available and doesn't cost too much?
