Fri May 30, 2008 12:33 am

Hi all,
I want to thank you for your effort in mikrotik, but now i want to ask you if i can use EOIP to mix 2 ISP connections with 2 ADSL routers in my networks.
Please give me a quick example for that...

For bonding, you would need to use the MLPPP, not EoIP, you can use EOIP to bond if you have another MT at a datacenter somewhere. Basically you buy traffic from them, and connect to them, regardless of what the provider is, the EoIP tunnel goes across and your internet comes from one source.

Hi,

you can only use MLPPP if your ISP will support it. One of the EoIP benefit here is, that you can use different ISPs, so if one uplink carrier goes done, no problem, your bondes link is still workin with the other ISPs. But please use only links with the same speed.

If I remember correctly, their is a very good EoIP example in the manual for this topic.

Lutz
