Can NStreme be used to Enhance Access-Point to CPE Performan

Thu Jul 17, 2008 6:31 am

Most of my AP's are 900Mhz and some 5Ghz.

In both frequencies the AP's are setup as WDS.
The 900Mhz AP's are RB/600 OR RB/333 with Ubiquiti XR-9 radios cards, Pac-Wireless 900Mhz HPOL 120 sectoral antennas
and I run no amplifiers.

At the client side I use Pac-Wireless ROO2 900Mhz RB/411, XR9.

Would it be possible and bennficial to enable NStreme at both the AP and client side?

Or is that not what NStreme is intended for?

Thanks allot

your results may vary depending on client count and traffic that is passing through the link.

you have to test to see, will in bring you any benefits. I'd say - if you have 3 - 4MBit traffic you should gain some improvements.

Thank you Janisk for your reply...

I will experiment with NStreme on a group of 18 clients which are one AP.

Hi DesertTek

I haven't had any free time to test yet.
Maybe this weekend I will run tests.

Once I have completed I will post my findings to the forum..

Have a good one
