HIPERLAN standard (802.11h)

Mon Jun 28, 2004 8:05 pm

In Europe to use the standard 802.11a for outdoor use the radio must support this two feautures:

1. TPC (trasmit power control);
2. DFS (dynamic frequency selection)

This two features copled with a 802.11a radio seems to be what they call 802.11h.
We are allowed to have 30dbi EIRP on those system.

Is it possible to implement them in the next releases of MT or they must have built into the radio chipset?

Thanks

For what I know:

1. DFS is already implemented (see the manual)
2. TPC is actively developed at the moment, but as far as I know there's no timeframe set for release or preview versions.
